MEET OUR INTERN THERAPIST

Tara Vaughn

Tara is an intern therapist at Arbor Family Counseling, and creates a safe and empathetic therapeutic environment for children, teens, and adults to explore their thoughts and emotions. 

Her approach is grounded in compassion and understanding, addressing concerns such as anxiety, stress, life adjustment difficulties, and interpersonal challenges. With a rich background as a School Counselor at all levels (Elementary, Middle, and High School), she is particularly skilled at supporting young individuals facing academic pressures, behavioral concerns, and LGBTQIA+ related issues. Tara employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused, CBT, and ACT, to empower clients to develop coping strategies and enhance their resilience. She holds a Master of Counseling from Doane College and is currently completing her internship toward Clinical Mental Health licensure.
