Elizabeth Mills is a graduate student at Emporia State University pursuing her Master’s
degree in Clinical Counseling. As a graduate research assistant, Elizabeth supports
faculty-led research on ethical and legal issues in play therapy, with a focus on
improving clinical practice and supervision standards. Elizabeth has a growing interest
in neurodiversity-affirming approaches to play therapy and has completed initial training
in this area. Elizabeth has worked primarily with adolecents ranging from 10 to 16 years
ols, but is interested in branching out to other age groups. She is passionate about
creating inclusive, affirming spaces for children and families and is committed to
advancing ethical, developmentally sensitive practices in the field.
