MEET OUR COUNSELOR
Abbi Monte, PLMHP, MSW
Abbi takes an easygoing, collaborative approach to therapy, believing meaningful growth happens when individuals are active participants in the process. Sessions are client-led, allowing each person to set goals, explore what feels most important, and move at a pace that feels supportive and natural.
She works with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 8–25 in both school-based and private practice settings. Abbi supports clients with emotional awareness, behavior patterns, stress, and the everyday challenges that come with growing, changing, and navigating life’s transitions. Building strong, trusting relationships is central to her work, and she strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves.
Abbi’s therapeutic style is practical, relational, and strengths based. She incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral strategies, skill-building, and reflective conversation while remaining flexible to meet each client’s individual needs. Sessions focus on increasing insight, understanding patterns, and developing tools that can be realistically used outside of therapy.
Abbi hopes clients leave therapy with a stronger sense of self-awareness, confidence in their ability to manage challenges, and practical strategies they can rely on in everyday life. Her goal is for clients to feel more empowered, better able to communicate their needs, and equipped with skills that support continued growth long after therapy ends.
Abbi received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
