MEET OUR COUNSELOR
Tara Kampen, MS, LMHP
“I know that when we seek counseling, we are often not in a good place in one or more areas of our
lives, but please know that in my office you are safe and accepted just as you are. Through the
counseling process I hope that you will be encouraged, challenged, and empowered to be your best self.It is my privilege to walk with you through whatever issues you’re facing.”
Client concerns that Tara has experience with include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression,
everyday stress, grief, trauma, women’s concerns, adolescent issues, problems with low self-worth, life transitions, relationship issues, spirituality and matters of faith, and creating greater meaning or purpose in life. She takes a person-centered, insight-oriented approach to therapy. She also utilizes a variety of counseling techniques, including those of a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, or mindful nature. Tara is also trained in EMDR.
Tara graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a master’s degree in Community
