    What is anger?

    Before we talk about anger management skills, we first need to talk about anger as an emotion. Anger is a normal feeling that everyone experiences. Anger can range from slight annoyance to fits of fury. Some feel anger every day, while others may only encounter it when pushed to the “breaking point.”

    Anger can be caused by both internal and external events, and it can affect us both physiologically and biologically. Anger often arrives with very little notice, and can leave us with feelings of exhaustion, depression and regret. To release anger effectively, we must employ positive anger management skills.

    Where can I find help with effective anger release?

    Anger is a healthy emotion. Each of us must find personal ways to experience and express it. That is what anger management skills are all about.

    Finding an effective anger release is not always easy, and as you might suspect, what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. Some people bottle up their anger until it explodes, while others regularly take out their anger on family and friends. Neither are effective anger release methods. But there are healthy and constructive ways you can release your anger. Dr. Brandt can help you learn the best anger management skills for you.

    There is no one particular anger management strategy that is guaranteed to work for you. The best way to find your most effective anger release method is try several various strategies.     No. Anger is a normal and healthy emotion. It is the way you choose to deal with anger that can negatively or positively affect your life.     We all experience pride in ourselves when we earn a good grade on an exam or reach a personal goal. In fact, the ability to take pleasure in our achievements is a big reason why we continue to pursue our dreams and take risks. This pride and pleasure we experience is called self-esteem and it is very important to reaching our career goals.

    The definition of self-esteem is basically when you have confidence and satisfaction in your own skills and abilities, and it is usually achieved through experiences of personal success. Self-esteem helps you to cope with difficult challenges when they arise and gives you the faith to overcome them.

    Self-esteem is critical to your career success. You need lots of it at all stages of your career – whether it’s for a job search, as a new employee, working with others, or dealing with stress and deadlines. If you’re like most people, you may wonder if you’ve got enough self-esteem to reach your career goals. Fortunately, there are steps that you can take to build and strengthen your self-worth.

    To begin with, create a plan where you can get daily exercise and eat a balanced diet of healthy foods. Maintaining care and respect for your body also has benefits for your mind and promotes healthy thoughts about your self-worth.

    Remember to engage in activities that are fun and meaningful to you. Participate regularly in a hobby that you enjoy or perhaps volunteer at an animal shelter if you’re fond of furry creatures. Nurturing your interests is a great way to remind yourself of what’s important to you.

    Reward yourself for your achievements by celebrating with friends, getting a massage, or offering a kind word of praise to yourself. Every time you recognize a success, you are building a stronger trust and support system within yourself.

    Create a list of successes that you can refer to in times of self-doubt. This is a wonderful way to stay in touch with your inner strength and reinforce your ability to overcome obstacles.

    Lastly, forgive yourself when things don’t quite turn out like you expected; being critical of your efforts only serves to chip away at self-esteem. Release any feelings of guilt or shame to make room for poise and confidence.

    Using these steps to build and strengthen your self-esteem takes practice and dedication, but the results are well worth your efforts. Your self-esteem is your most valuable asset in reaching your goal of a rewarding career in the dental field – so fixodent and forget it! 


    Resource: Create a Positive Attitude - How to be Optimistic

    There is not one single person who is born with a natural ability to remain positive. It takes work and effort to see the silver lining on the clouds that we encounter; and we must train our thoughts to remain optimistic when we experience challenges. Sustaining a positive attitude can bring success to your personal and professional life.

    In order to achieve a positive attitude, we have to make a conscious decision each day to be aware of our thoughts and actions. Everything we do and say must be in accordance with living a fuller, more optimistic life.

    There is an endless array of methods for us to choose from in order to go from negative and critical to positive and radiant. The benefits of having a positive attitude are well worth the effort – you’ll be happier and others will enjoy being in your company.

    To help you identify what will motivate you to improving your outlook, a few suggestions have been provided.

    First, start the day off right by waking up to something soothing and pleasing to your ears. A harsh and loud alarm clock can jar you senseless and put your nerves on edge.

    Also, why not give yourself extra time in the morning so that you aren’t feeling rushed and pressured to make it to work or some other activity on time? Wake up a little earlier so that you can enjoy getting ready for the day ahead.

    Next, try to keep your mind focused on your positive goals for the day. Avoid watching the news or reading the newspapers which are usually filled with items that are depressing.

    Make it a habit to take care of your health by eating a balanced diet and staying clear of artificial stimulants. Also, be sure to get some form of physical exercise on a daily basis.

    While you are going about your day, try to assume the best of every person and situation that you encounter.

    Don’t allow yourself to fall prey to perfectionism. Remember that no one is perfect; just because you didn’t reach a goal, it doesn’t mean you failed. Learn from your mistakes and move forward.

    And lastly, remember to focus on the unlimited possibilities that the future holds. Don’t dwell on past mistakes – they cannot be changed no matter how much you try.

    Living your life with a positive attitude is not the easiest thing to do, but it certainly can be one of the most rewarding. Make a promise to yourself today to become your most optimistic self ever and begin reaping the rewards.
